Love for people and passion for the power and presence of God characterizes our pastor's ministry. Pastor Larry has committed his life to investing and pouring into others and has served as a pastor for 30+ years, the last sixteen of which have been at Celebration Church. He has a great love for, and a commitment to our city and our church. He also serves as the Presbyter for the Tampa Bay area.
His greatest joy is in building relationships, reaching the unchurched, and lovingly leading God's people to fully recognize who they are and what they can do. Pastor Larry has been married to Deanna for 31 years and they have raised three incredible grown children -- Dustin, Jordan and Savanna Rose. They have one grandchild, Mila Michelle, and a bulldog named Manny. Our pastors are also blessed to have their niece Lexi and great-niece and great-nephew Livvy and Brody with them in Tampa and at Celebration. Aside from spending time with his family Pastor Larry loves watching sports and planning his next cruise!
Deanna Shrodes serves as the Women's Ministries Director for the Pen-Florida District of the Assemblies of God, and is an ordained AG Minister. She is an accomplished musician, worship leader, and songwriter. An award winning and widely recognized writer, she is a contributing author to many books as well as the author of the book Juggle:Manage Your Time, Change Your Life, and Stronger: 30 Principles for Leaders. David & Mary Jenkins
Pastor Dave graduated from Lee University. He has served as the Lead Pastor at many churches in the Southeast. He brings a wealth of wisdom and love to all who know him. He and his bride Mary have big servants hearts and lead in Pastoral Care and encouragement to our church family.
Pastor Dave promises that he makes the best brisket, but has never made one for any of us. Hint Hint!
Dustin & Taylor Shrodes
Pastor Dustin is a voice to this generation, and beyond. He serves in many different leadership roles on the Celebration Church staff and in the Tampa Bay community. A seasoned leader, he served for many years as the leader of fine arts at Celebration before ever coming on staff as a pastor. In addition to all of his responsibilities at Celebration Church, Pastor Dustin has traveled throughout the State of Florida preaching and/or leading worship at youth rallies and conferences. Pastor Dustin is an avid Hiker and recently hiked the AT. Taylor serves by his side in all things and is involved in worship ministries. Pastor Dustin and Taylor have a roomate who is a Bluetick Coonhound Dog named Dallas.
There are so many things that I love about Celebration Church. It is hard to contain my thoughts in this short space. But I love: The People: diversity in cultures and ages, the friendliness, ease of acceptance. Timely and relevant preaching. Transparent, honest pastors. Recognition and encouragement of talents.
What I love about Celebration Church is the Pastor's messages and the freedom to connect on a level that I am comfortable with!
I love Celebration Church because the pastors preach from the Bible and teach us how to apply it to our daily lives. It's REAL teaching not the sugar coated truth.
Pastor Linda remembers hungering for the presence of the Lord at an early age and the Lord revealing Himself to her! While she has served at church all of her life, the pastoral call came in 2005, whereupon she entered seminary and received her MDiv and ordination in 2008. She and her husband Don, raised three precious children; Nancy born in Minneapolis, Jacob born in Boston, Marissa born in Ann Arbor, and everybody freezing together for 15 years in Buffalo!!! So living in Tampa and serving the Lord is just like paradise for Linda! Through the years, Linda has overseen general Pastoral Care, and Women's Ministries. She is excited to serve the amazing people at Celebration. Her greatest passions are all things Korean, eating Korean food (with chop sticks, of course), living in the love of Christ, and intentionally sharing his life-giving joy with others. Invite her to share it with you!
Pastor Sam loves Celebration Church soooo much, this is the THIRD time he has been on staff with us! (Third time's a charm!) Pastor Sam graduated from Southeastern University with a ministry degree, and has served in several pastoral capacities at Celebration through the years, and has also been on staff full time at several other Assemblies of God churches serving as everything from Associate Pastor to school principal, to youth pastor, and now as our kids pastor. He has a love for people and is an excellent trainer, equipper and team builder. He has raised up a great children's ministries team at our church. It's not a one man show, but a group of many leaders with gifts and talents coming together to reach, train and equip our children to serve the Lord and His church. When he is not teaching, preaching and training Pastor Sam likes reminding everyone that Christmas music is not to be played before Thanksgiving! LOL
